Two Ways You Can Pay It Forward
As you are well aware, you attended a vocational education program with some of the funding supporting that education coming from The Rotary Vocational Fund of Arizona.

TAX CREDIT DONATIONS
April 15 is the deadline for making tax credit donations which can be used to offset Arizona State Income Tax for the 2019 tax year even though tax filing deadlines have been extended to July 15 for both Federal and State of Arizona returns.

Most of the funds that allow us to make vocational education grants come from individuals making donations of up to $400 for single filers or up to $800 for couples filing jointly.  The donors can get a dollar for dollar tax credit on their state income tax obligation which means they either write a smaller check to the state or get a larger refund from the state.  In other words, the donors can help someone get vocational education without it costing them anything in the end.
If you would like to donate, CLICK HERE to go to our website.  Once on the site, click on DONATE NOW in the blue bar under our logo.

Donations will gladly be accepted during the balance of the year, but after April 15, they will only be allowed to offset the donor's obligation for the 2020 tax year.

SHARE YOUR TRVFA ALUMNI SUCCESS STORY
Many of our donors have been inspired to support TRVFA when they have heard an in-person testimonial from a TRVFA alumnus who shared the positive impact their education enabled not only for themselves as individuals, but the ripple effect including quality of life improvements for their family and loved ones.

You may not think that your story is that significant, but when you really think about it, we are pretty sure you can come up with something that that is much better now than before your vocational education program which could inspire someone to make a donation to help someone else.  You don't have to be a good writer.  If you send some basic facts, your current cell-phone number, and a current photo (in your work apparel if possible) our editor will contact you by phone to ask a few questions.  After she has written the story, she will seek your approval before publishing it.  When we publish alumni stories, we only use their first name.  Your story could appear on our Facebook page, our website, in a promotional brochure and/or in a future newsletter.
